In the ongoing saga of the Zombie Rules series, Zach, his family and friends are lured from their home in Tennessee and relocate to a post-apocalyptic bunker known as Mount Weather, nestled in rural Virginia. They have been promised a better life by none other than the President himself.
Zach's apparent immunity to the zombie virus may hold the key to creating a vaccine and securing a future for the human race. Life at Mount Weather is indeed a significant improvement from their former life, but it is not without its dark side, and Zach finds himself having to make a difficult choice.

I am a huge fan of this series and of this writer. I have given 5 stars to the previous books. What got me hooked to this series was the lead character Zach and the wicked, laugh out loud humor. The first two books had plenty of dark PA action but the humor made the stories shine bright over other series in this genre.I thought book 3 was a brave departure that the author took to transform the sarcastic young teenager into a hero fit to lead and fight in the Z.A.
Book 5 was kind of a disappointment. When I saw that it had dropped I was so excited to read it. I started at 11 p.m. and I am writing this review at 5 a.m.
Book 5 starts with Zach moving his family and friends to Mount Weather where POTUS lives with a small group of politicians and an even smaller group of marines. The main story line of book 5. is trying to develop a vaccine using Zach blood because the scientists believe he is immune to the zombie virus.
The secondary storyline of the petty, vain and useless politicians was a real downer. Their incompetence is just depressing and their part in this story just makes you want to see them burn in hell. I really wish 98% of the politician characters storyline were edited out.
I still really enjoyed Zach and his unique adventure in the zombie Apocalypse, but please lose the politicians in book 6.
This continues to be one of the best Zombie Apocalypse series, so buy your copy and enjoy the story. I hope we do not have to wait to long for the next installment.

The first book in this series is still my favorite. However, every book in the series has been a very good read. The writing and editing are better than most similar books. I didn't think this book was ever going to get here. Now we wait for the next installment.
I found this series extremely interesting with and equal amount of science fiction and unexpected twist. Loved the characters. A must zombie read, can't wait for the next book in this series.
Loved these series, it makes you care for all the characters in the book. I found myself wondering how they were, then I hadto remind myself they weren't real.
Really good read. Best of series. His characters continue to grow with each novel. I find I tire of many series by the end of the third book. Zombie Rules are one of the few that I still enjoy every new book.
The first few books had a good story but I didn't care for some of the parts of the books. The 4th book was much better and I absolutely love the 5th. This one is by far my favorite. I am glad I continued to read the series and am patiently waiting book 6!
Enjoyed the heck out of this last book of the series. Solid storytelling enough zombie action, original take on zombie behaviour , well thought out characters , plausible plot twists. I really dig the authors style . Will certainly look for other books by Achord.
David writes great stories and characters. The main character is pretty smart for a kid, which always made me think the author was enjoying a little vicarious license. It does add a valuable element throughout the series though.
Good writing, good character development, good editing, an interesting story, what's not to like? Start with the first book. You will be hooked.
