One morning in the shower Lloyd Boyd was called to be a Personal Preacher. Lloyd never thought of being a preacher of any kind and never a personal one. The closest Lloyd ever got to preaching was a date with an ex-preacher's wife that he met on SingleChristianMix-Up.com.

But Lloyd did believe this was an assignment from God. After all, he was between jobs, girlfriends and adventures. Actually this would be Lloyd's first adventure but he did like watching and reading about other peoples adventures.

Maybe he could do this. Maybe he could figure out what God had in mind. Maybe he could figure out what a personal preacher is. Maybe he could..wait. How could Lloyd be any kind of preacher? Lloyd Boyd had flunked Sunday School.

Now is your chance to take the adventure along with Lloyd. To follow Lloyd as he works on his Christian Life Script. Be there as he writes and revises and spills coffee on what was to be his best scene. A first person account of a life in transition from unwanted solitude to service.

"I Flunked Sunday School - Confessions of a personal preacher" will encourage you to laugh, linger, maybe tear up, and think about what you would do if God called you to be a personal preacher.

I Flunked Sunday School [Confessions of a Personal Preacher] edition by Ken Bailey Religion Spirituality eBooks

I got the kindle edition free on Mother's Day. I've not laughed out loud so much in ages! It's a short read, but the scrapes this guy gets into are hilarious! From failing Sunday School as a boy to becoming a "personal preacher," the guy innocently puts himself in one unintentionally comical situation after another. Selma and Grant are wonderful characters, and they certainly ARE characters. I wish the book was longer. I'd never heard of this author before, but evidently he's written several books. I'll have to check out his other writings.

A witty and fun read that glorifies God. I can't help but wonder if Ken Bailey might have experienced some of Lloyd Boyd's adventures first hand.

Aren't we all really called to be Personal Preachers!
I couldn't put this book down! The story will make you laugh and think at the same time! It will change the way you look at the world around you.
I really enjoyed this book! The characters were wonderful and the idea of a personal preacher who is on call is out of this world. I laughed and cried as I read through the pages. Good book.
Thank you Ken for this heart string tugging book. Yes, this would be a fine play or film. I will look forward to reading more of your work in the future. One issue though, I do wish that the usage typos were cleaned up as they were distracting. Enjoy this book folks, the character s are engaging.
Ken Bailey has a delightful way of telling this story, infusing humor into the "calling" of this young man to do God's work on a personal basis. The part that grabbed my heart was discovering who your "Immediate Family" truly is...the ones who come immediately when needed. A huge revelation to me personally. This story will touch your heart....and the ending will have you thinking..."I didn't see that coming!".
